Room by room
Room layout, age group and how the room is supervised decide where controls can sit and how a blind should work. We fit for that.
Soft, even daylight without harsh glare, and nothing that blocks staff sight lines across the room.
Blackout for daytime naps, fitted so the room can still be supervised from the door.
Any opening a child can reach gets cordless or out-of-reach control, and we check what furniture sits near it.
Moisture-resistant, wipeable blinds for the practical rooms.
Procurement
Tell us the age groups and room layouts. Every blind we fit follows BS EN 13120 child-safety practice, our fitters are directly employed and Enhanced DBS, and we bring the evidence your setting asks for.
Cots, play zones, climbing furniture and low windows are noted at survey so every control is out of reach.
Cordless, wand-operated or motorised, chosen to meet your setting’s rules and BS EN 13120.
Tell us the wipe-down routine and we choose fabrics that cope with it.
Public liability insurance, RAMS, Enhanced DBS for every fitter and Constructionline Gold, with BS EN 13120 child-safety devices fitted on every blind.

Access and programme
A nursery job is a series of short room visits, not one uninterrupted working day.
Tell us sessions, meal times, sleep periods and which rooms stay occupied.
We agree when furniture can move and who escorts us into each room.
Rooms are bundled by availability and children are kept well away from the working area.
Operation, cleaning and furniture are checked and reset before the children come back in.
Questions for this setting
A photograph, window sizes if known, the required level of darkness and the location of cots and furniture give the survey a useful starting point.
We look at the age group, the room layout and any rule your organisation has, then choose the control and its position so nothing is within a child’s reach.
Devices to BS EN 13120 are fitted and adjusted on every unit, with chains and cords secured at the correct height. That is standard on every blind we fit.
Enhanced DBS across the fitting team, CSCS carded, with RAMS supplied before works begin. We fit outside session times where the nursery prefers.
