The brief
What the site needed.
Worsley College is further education, so the room list runs wider than a school: classrooms, general teaching spaces and vocational training rooms all in the same building. White PVC blackout fabric went through the lot, giving full light control wherever a screen or a demonstration needs it.
PVC was the right call for a college. It wipes down, it takes daily use, and it still looks sharp at the end of the year, which matters more here than in a room that sees one class a week.
The training rooms took the extra planning. Health and social care and childcare courses keep specialist equipment permanently set up, so the blinds were fitted around what was already there. Multi-window walls were set to the same drop, so every room matches from one side to the other. The install was carried out by BBS’s own fully employed installation team, all Enhanced DBS.
