The brief
What the site needed.
Rocco House is an apartment scheme on Liverpool’s docks, with some of the top-floor units looking straight across to the Liver Building and the Mersey. BBS fitted 1,000 perfect fit pleated blinds across the development, room by room and floor by floor.
Perfect fit brackets clip into the UPVC window frames, so nothing is drilled into the glazing. That suits new-build tenanted units. The soft grey pleated fabric gives residents privacy and light control without taking the skyline off them, and because the colour is the same in every apartment the building reads cleanly from the outside.
A scheme this size is a logistics job as much as a fitting one. Access had to be coordinated across hundreds of units on a live residential site while the quality held from the first apartment to the last. It was still looking sharp two years on.
