Start with the material
Window coverings are easier to understand when you can see the fabric, move the control and compare one finish with another. A photograph can provide inspiration, but it cannot show the weight of a Roman blind or the way a screen fabric changes the light.
Samples let you compare texture, opacity and colour at a useful size before narrowing the options for your own windows.
Why samples still matter
Colour is rarely fixed. A warm grey can look neutral in morning light and noticeably cooler in the evening. Texture also changes at a distance, particularly on larger windows where a small pattern is repeated across a broad area.
That is why BBS brings samples to a home visit. You can hold each option beside paintwork, flooring and furniture, then view it from the position where you actually sit. It is a practical decision rather than a guess made from a screen.
Start with a photograph
If you are at the early stage, send a clear photograph of the whole window and a second image showing the recess, frame and handles. Add a note about the room, the direction of the light and the privacy you need.
The photograph will not replace accurate measuring, but it helps BBS understand the shape of the enquiry and bring more relevant samples to the visit.
Then confirm it in the room
The final choice should work at the window, not only on a sample page. A free home visit gives you a chance to compare options in the right light, discuss control and cleaning, and have the opening measured for a made-to-measure fit.
